This group is for mothers with young children. It is a great opportunity to meet and get to know other mothers in the congregation. The group has been on break but, the group will resume meeting on Sept. 20, 2009. We will meet during the Sunday School hour, in the church nursery. Children who do not attend Sunday School are welcome to come. We will have fellowwship and devotion.

The Lutheran Women in Mission at Zion (formerly LWML) have made a new beginning. Several small groups or circles have been formed to appeal to a variety of interests. Each group is centered in a Christian devotion and/or Bible study, and focuses on an activity or interest, and a service project. Confirmed women of all ages are invited to participate in one or more of the following groups:

This group meets on Wednesday afternoons for Bible Study. We use the LifeLight Bible Study series published by CPH. Other important aspects of our weekly meetings are the Christian Fellowship we share and the Biblical Equipping for the coming week. We are also looking for ways we can be involved in Missional Service here at Zion, in the community, across the United States and abroad.

The Prayer Shawl group is an exercise in: Faith (prayers), Giving (time, love and energy), Growth. As you talk to God while you stitch you grow in faith and inpart that to others.
Crocheting, knitting, quilting and sewing lap pads and shawls helps others who are wanting and needing to feel God's love around them.
We usually meet every other month, with most of the work done at home.
