The Reverend Norman W. Schmoock
Pastor Norman W. Schmoock was born in York, Pennsylvania, on February 15, 1948 and made a child of God through the washing of Holy Baptism two weeks later on February 29, 1948. He attended Lutheran elementary schools in York and North Tonawanda, New York, and graduated from North Tonawanda High School.
He received his pre-seminary training at Concordia Junior College in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Concordia Senior College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He entered Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, and ended up graduating from Christ Seminary-Seminex in St. Louis with a Master of Divinity degree in May of 1974.
On September 1, 1973, he married Rosemary E. Brege of St. Joseph, Michigan. Their marriage was blessed with two children: Andrew and Carrie (married to Brent Dietrich). Rosemary is a graduate of Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri, and now works as a school nurse.
Pastor Schmoock has served four churches: Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown, New York (1974-1981); Concordia Lutheran Church in Steamboat Springs, Colorado (1981-1991); Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in New Orleans, Louisiana (1991-1997); and Zion Lutheran Church in Victorville, California (1997 - present).
