Aurora Martinez

My name is Aurora Martinez.  I teach the TK and Kindergarten students.  We do a lot of hands-on activities; beginning writing using pencils, crayons and markers and free drawing to work on beginning writing skills.  We work on recognition of letters, numbers, shapes, and their names through song and dance.  We use Zoophonics to practice letter names and sounds.  We have routines and a daily schedule.

Bible time is a big part of our lessons. We have monthly Bible themes and attend chapel every week.

I am currently attending Victor Valley College to obtain an Associate Degree in Child Development.  This is my first year teaching as a preschool teacher at Zion Lutheran School, and I am thrilled to be here.  I love working with children and truly enjoy seeing them grow both spiritually and physically.

As a preschool teacher, I instill values grounded in the love and teachings of Christ.  I incorporate elements of faith into our lessons, model Christ-like behavior, set high expectations, and help the children build a strong spiritual foundation.

I am bilingual.  I live in Hesperia with my husband Carlos, and our two beautiful children, Aurora and Carlos-Arturo.    As a family, we love traveling and enjoying bobas together.  I enjoy spending time with my parents and family.

I look forward to a wonderful year with your children.
